Moms on the Move - A Daily Inspiration

Ever have those moments when you think ... hmm.. "am I really making a difference in this world?" Or, "I know I'm making a small difference... but does it really matter..??" etc...

When you do (and don't we all as busy moms?), take a moment out of your day to watch a clip from "Moms on the Move" with Linda Swain. It'll get you inspired!

As a mompreneur with a passion for breastfeeding, I'm working hard every day to a) sell products and make money b) promote my business and c) support, encourage, cheerlead new moms towards a successful breastfeeding relationship. All 3 are importatnt to me and it's an ongoing balancing act, believe me.

Through our charitable donations program, our CafeAuLait You Tube channel helping moms to tell their breastfeeding stories, and our ongoing blog with supporting, encouraging messages to moms, I'm really trying to "sell" moms on the idea of breastfeeding as a powerful, passionate part of having and caring for a baby/toddler. And by sharing my story, and sharing other mom's stories on our blogs/ YouTube channel,  I hope new moms get a bit stronger and more she-bear fierce when it comes to standing up to some of the cultural messages that aren't 100% supportive of breastfeeding. Feel the power mamas!

So, what I'm trying to do, in a small way, on a single topic, Linda Swain from Moms on the Move is trying to do in a really big way with an endless number of topics! Go Linda Go! I can only tip my (breastfeeding) hat to you on this one!

Watching these clips of Linda interviewing and highlighting these inspiring moms  and seeing what they've been able to do while balancing family, work, and sometimes overcoming health issues, or socio-economic obstacles such as prejudice or poverty is so inspriing.

Her whole concept of "Moms on the Move" and her committment to focusing on what moms can do, sometimes in a small way, and sometimes in pretty big ways, is fantastic and so inspiring to moms. I also like how Moms on the Move focuses on connecting moms together and supporting mom-entrepreneurs. I've said this before, but connecting moms, and harnessing the collective busineess/ consumer influence of moms is a powerful new movement. It'll be the next women's revolution.

.. and moms like Linda Swain are going to be leading the way!

(now, if we can only get her to feature moms that are promoting, confident, powerful breastfeeding!! )

I think a "Breastfeeding Fashion Show" featuring up-beat, mom-owned breastfeeding products that celebrate breastfeeding would be fun!

What do you think? I'm sure Linda would love to hear your ideas!
