"God made Cows to Give lots of Milk"
October 30th, 2008 by Diane Sam
Why is it that the image of a cow has become synonymous with milk? The other day I was at my son's pre-school, and they were singing an alphabet song. You'll never guess what was representing the letter M - milk of course! Represented by a cow.
The indoctrination starts early. They there were, a cute little group of 4 year olds singing "M for milk...mmm, mmm, mmm" being shown a big picture of a cow. I don't think anyone other than me gave it a second thought....like that's the most natural thing in the world. Not an actual human mother breastfeeding, which would be the healthiest and if our society was not held in thrall to the corporate interests of the dairy indusrty, would seem the most normal. No. A cow! Biologically speaking, you might as well have a picture of a monkey or a giraffe or a rat!
Nothing in nature drinks the milk of another species! It makes no sense. Why are pre-schoolers being shown these kinds of images as if they were normal? Go to your kids school or take a look at any colouring book or story book targetting at this age of child. There's lots of images of cows and milk.
For example, here's an excerpt from a Christian colouring book, that has a picture of a cow and says:
We get milk from cows who live on dairy farms.
God made cows to give lots of milk
Yes, God made cows to give lots of milk .... TO BABY COWS!
God made women to (among other things of course) give lots of milk to BABY HUMANS!
If you are a teacher or parent of little kids, take a look at the picture books, colouring books, etc.. and let me know how many make the link between milk and cows ......!
Is it a conspiracy? I'd love to hear your comments!

You GO GIRL! There are so many things in our society, that if we just take a moment to 'step back', are NOT normal at all. We have just been conditioned to think that they are. Good for you for bringing one of them to the forefront of our thinking!

I look forward to the day when our children everywhere open books that say... "The Mother"
We get milk from our Mother who lives in our home.
God made mothers to give lots of milk! :)
Hi Diane, you are so right! Cows milk is great ~ for baby cows! Your post makes me so thankful to be a breastfeeding mama. I thank G-d that he's given me just what my baby needs. Love & mama's milk are the perfect recipe for growing healthy human babies! Thank you for the sweet work you are doing. I can't wait to try the Moboleez! ;)
